Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse Raises $65,000 For Junior Achievement
DALLAS, April 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- This month, award-winning Fogo de Chao partnered with Junior Achievement, the world's largest organization dedicated to inspiring and preparing young people to succeed in a global economy, and raised $65,000 nationwide!
The authentic Southern Brazilian steakhouse offered a charitable dinner package at 16 of the restaurant's US locations during the month of April - Financial Literacy Month - for a special price of $45-$50 per person (a $75 value) and $25 for children. One hundred percent of the proceeds benefited the Junior Achievement chapters to raise awareness around the need for youth financial literacy education and to support broader implementation of JA's programs.
The cities that participated in this initiative were Dallas, Texas; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Las Vegas, Nevada; Chicago, Illinois; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Beverly Hills, California; Houston, Texas; Miami, Florida; Denver, Colorado; Kansas City, Missouri; Austin, Texas; Orlando, Florida; Baltimore, Maryland; Scottsdale, Arizona; Indianapolis, Indiana; and Atlanta, Georgia.

In addition to the $65,000 raised at each of the 16 fundraising events, Fogo de Chao also donated $16,000 in promotional cards to benefit the local Junior Achievement chapters' initiatives.
