ForaCare & RollTech Jointly Develop FORA Connected Health Watch
MOORPARK, Calif., April 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- ForaCare has designed a new wearable watch that captures measurements from FORA Bluetooth enabled medical devices with the help of RollTech, and the use of their Aster MT2502 system-on-chip (SoC). "We leveraged Mediatek Aster SoC excellent wireless connectivity capability to design a wearable connected health solution for ForaCare. This new development makes uploading data easy for the end-user," said Mrs. Huiling Liu, President and CEO of RollTech Technology Co., Limited.
FORA Connected Health Watch offers more then current wearables in the market. It not only captures data, but also uploads that data to our cloud-based telehealth solution. "It's ability to act as a gateway provides the end-user with complete flexibility for sending vital health data to their healthcare provider. - Uploads to the cloud - Using cellular data, the watch is able to transmit the end-user's measurements to a secure web-based site, allowing healthcare professionals to remotely monitor their patients
- Alert messaging – From the cloud, messages like "don't forget to take your medication," can be sent to the watch
- Service Call - Preprogram a specific number, either a loved-one or local care facility. By the touch of a button, the watch is able to a place call to this number.
