Forbes Names BioMarin Among World's Best Employers

SAN RAFAEL, Calif., Oct. 11, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. (NASDAQ: BMRN) announced today that Forbes' named the company to its list, Global 2000:  World's Best Employers.  It is ranked within the top 300 out of a total of 2000 companies and fifth among the nine biotech companies also named. This marks the second time this year that BioMarin has been acknowledged as a top place to work by Forbes, having also been named to the magazine's list of Best Mid-Sized Employers, earlier this year with a ranking of 51 among 500 companies and third among biotech companies also named.

Methodology
The Forbes list of World's Best Employers is based on Forbes' 2018 Global 2000 rankings, which included publicly traded companies from 60 countries that together accounted for $39.1 trillion in sales, $3.2 trillion in profit, $189 trillion in assets and $56.8 trillion in market value.

More than 430,000 global recommendations were analyzed by Statista to create the World's Best Employers list. Employees were asked to rate their own employer and the likelihood they would recommend the company to a friend or family member. They were also asked to recommend other employers they admired.
