Forbes Ranks BioMarin 12th Most Innovative Company in the World

SAN RAFAEL, Calif., Aug. 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. (NASDAQ: BMRN) announced today that it has been ranked 12^th on Forbes magazine's 2017 list of the "World's Most Innovative Companies." BioMarin, a pharmaceutical company focused on rapidly developing and delivering first-in-class or best-in-class therapies for those with severe rare diseases, is dedicated to providing therapies for unmet medical needs.

This is the fourth consecutive year that BioMarin has received the recognition, acknowledging the company's commitment to making an impact in the lives of small patient populations. The two previous years the company was ranked 10^th and in 2014, the company ranked 7^th.
