Forest City Responds to Community Needs By Donating a Day of Service

CLEVELAND, June 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Forest City associates nationwide trade in their computers and office supplies today for work gloves, paint brushes and shovels during the company's Seventh Annual Community Day.

Community Day is a day of service that brings Forest City associates from across the country together to provide much needed help to more than 60 charitable organizations nationwide.   Associates are called upon to perform duties such as landscaping, serving food to the elderly, painting, cleaning up environments, planting flowers and gathering kids' school supplies.

Initiated in 2004, Community Day was developed by Forest City to enable employees to volunteer their time and skills with local community organizations that they care about and to exhibit the Company's core value of community involvement.  The employees in each city select the charity they think needs help.
