Former EcoLogo Executive Director Scot Case Joins UL Environment, Inc.

NORTHBROOK, Ill., Sept. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- UL Environment, Inc. today announces Scot Case as the organization's new director of market development.  Case joins UL Environment following ULC Standards' acquisition of TerraChoice, where Case managed the growth and expansion of EcoLogo™, Canada's premiere environmental standards development and certification program.  As vice president and partner at TerraChoice, Case helped purchasers identify environmentally and socially responsible products, and assisted companies in developing sustainable business strategies and clarifying the environmental and social value of their products and services.  At UL Environment, Case will serve as part of the global commercial development team.

Prior to joining TerraChoice, Scot spent more than 10 years working with government agencies, academic institutions and purchasing  and supply chain organizations focused on improving the environmental impact of products and services.  Case's experience includes testifying before the U.S. Congress on green marketing issues and providing advisory services to a variety of organizations around the world, including the Office of the Federal Environmental Executive (OFEE) during the administrations of President Clinton and President GW Bush.

Case holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science, history and economics, and a Master of Arts in political science with emphasis on environmental policy and theory from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
