Former Live Nation Exec and Industry Vet Cheryl C. Joyner named EVP and Chief Marketing Officer of Blazetrak

NEW YORK, May 23, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Former Live Nation executive and entertainment industry veteran Cheryl C. Joyner joins Blazetrak as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. Based in New York, she will be responsible for global marketing strategy and execution for the online-based platform that provides direct video access to the world's top professionals across a variety of verticals including music, television, film, sports, lifestyle, fashion and business.

Previously Joyner served as Vice President of Alliances for Live Nation, the world's largest live entertainment company.  She was responsible for executing multimillion dollar strategic alliances with various multinational corporations in the live entertainment space and providing content in the digital distribution space for clients such as American Express, AT&T, Adidas, GEICO and Major League Baseball. She was also responsible for sponsorship activations for concert tours such as Ozzfest, Aerosmith, Jay-Z among others.

Prior to this experience she served as the Director of Marketing and Creative Services for Jazz at Lincoln Center. As Head of Marketing and Creative Services until 2003, she was responsible for the overall successful growth and development of the Jazz at Lincoln Center audience, spearheading the grand opening marketing campaign and aiding in the overall design of the Columbus Circle based concert halls, meeting earned income goals, servicing sponsorship contracts and promoting the brand name worldwide.

She led marketing strategy and execution for industry giants Universal Music Group, Sony Music, Warner Bros. Records and MCA. Joyner has created and executed some of the industry's most highly successful marketing campaigns with music legends and launched of some of the biggest acts in music including Prince, Maxwell, Fleetwood Mac, Quincy Jones, Diana Ross, India.Arie, Brian McKnight, BellBivDeVoe, Branford Marsalis, David Byrne, Stevie Wonder among many others. From the start of her illustrious career in 1990, Joyner was tapped by legendary music executives such as Mo Ostin, Benny Medina, Donnie lenner and Alvin Teller to serve as their key marketing executive to introduce new artists to the marketplace and revitalize the careers of music legends. Joyner is one of the industry's most respected and successful executives and is widely considered one of the most talented, creative and formidable forces in entertainment.
