Former WPP Branding Chief Takes 50% Stake in B2B Communications Consultancy
NEW YORK, June 17 /PRNewswire/ -- With companies at a crossroads in terms of how they market themselves and position for growth in this new economy, a former branding chief at WPP, Jim Johnson, has taken a 50% interest in a B2B consultancy Park Lane Communications. Effective immediately, the firm's revised name is Nourie Johnson Communications to reflect the partnership between Phil Nourie (president) and Jim Johnson (chairman).
Jim Johnson, former chief executive officer of Enterprise IG, today known as the Brand
Union, sees great growth in the B2B market.
"Law firms, investment banks, hedge funds, private equity and venture capital firms all need to take a sharper look at how they are positioning themselves for growth via a robust communications strategy," said Johnson, known for his branding work on many of the world's most prolific campaigns, most notably Bank of America, Caterpillar, Ford and Harley Davidson.
Nourie Johnson's most recent win came last week by beating out Weber Shandwick, Edelman, and WPP agencies to represent the communications and advertising campaigns for Global X Funds for their upcoming launch of a Lithium ETF. The product prospectus was filed with the SEC on April 30, 2010.
Chief Executive Officer Bruno del Ama of Global X said in a statement that "the combination of Jim's 35-year proven track record and Phil's extensive knowledge of marketing and public relations is a powerhouse of strength and the right mix for our needs."
