Formosa Group Expands Team Of Senior Sound Creatives

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 2, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Formosa Group, an industry leader and top creative innovator in post-production sound, announced today that five-time Emmy-nominated Supervising Sound Editor Bryan Parker and two-time Golden Reel Award-winning Supervising Sound Editor/Sound Designer Trevor Gates have joined the firm's distinguished team.  Both will be working from the company's new state-of-the-art headquarters in Hollywood.  Gates and Parker have extensive individual project rosters and have collaborated together on some critically-acclaimed projects such as the film Get Out.  Parker's recent work includes Brad's Status and The Mist; while Gates's previous projects consist of The Belko Experiment and Ouija: Origin of Evil.  Formosa Group's CEO Robert C. Rosenthal made the announcement.

Parker started his career in sound in the world of fast-paced nonfiction television and micro-budget features, where he perfected his talent for creating elegant solutions under ever-changing constraints.  His continued success has led him to increasingly nuanced and creative projects over the last 10 years, both in broadcast and film.  His film work includes Oscar-nominated Hell or High Water, starring Chris Pine and Jeff Bridges, audience-favorite Get Out and heart-stopping thriller Don't Breathe.

Parker's television credits consist of shows across all genres, such as People's Choice Award-nominated Teen Wolf, seven-time Emmy-winning series The Voice and The Amazing Race, for which he earned three of his five Emmy nominations.  Parker's upcoming features are Please Stand By, starring Dakota Fanning, The Ballad of Lefty Brown and Hangman, starring Brittany Snow and Al Pacino.

Gates has mastered the art of weaving sound and picture, drawing audiences in and immersing them in each story.  He is widely known as a man of his craft, harnessing his integrity, humility and dedication to execute the visions of some of the entertainment industry's most creative minds.  He's received acclaim from the Motion Picture Sound Editors by winning two Golden Reel Awards for Best Sound Editing in the foreign feature Libertador and the hard-hitting documentary Sonic Sea, for which he also recently received an Emmy nomination.

With over 100 total credits over the course of six years, Gates' has worked as both supervising sound editor and sound designer, showcasing his affinity for building unique sound and sonic arrangement on many features including Get Out, Ouija: Origin of Evil and Kidnap, starring Halle Berry.  Gates has continued his success, completing his work as supervising sound editor and sound designer on upcoming films such as The Domestics, starring Kate Bosworth, Happy Death Day, Polaroid and more.
