(QHS) announced on June 17, 2015 that the company's current President and Chief Operating Officer, Ronald G. Forsythe, PhD is appointed as Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Forsythe has been functioning as the senior leader for the organization prior to the board decision.
Created in 2007, QHS is the parent company to Health Integrity, Delmarva Foundation, and the Quality Health Foundation with a focus on improving health services and programs. Dr. Forsythe was hired in 2012 as Chief Operating Officer and was promoted to President and COO in 2014. Prior to joining QHS, Ron worked in progressively more responsible senior leadership positions at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore including Vice President for Planning, Assessment, Technology & Commercialization where he established new academic programs, expanded research capacity, led fundraising initiatives and enhanced technology infrastructure and support. His academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware, and both a Master's degree and Doctorate in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maryland College Park.
