Fort Lauderdale Resident, Marie Huntley, Recognized as Role Model by America's Best and Rickey Smiley
DULUTH, Ga., Jan. 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses (America's Best) and nationally renowned standup comedian and radio personality Rickey Smiley are recognizing and saying "thank you" to Marie Huntley – a finalist in the national America's Smiliest Role Model Contest – for her work to inspire and mentor young students in the Fort Lauderdale community.
Huntley is dedicated to preventing juvenile delinquency among at-risk youth and has inspired many young people to make positive behavior changes in their lives through her non-profit organization, On-Call Leadership, Inc. Through "The Deterrence Project," Huntley is partnering with Broward County Schools to provide guidance and advice for teachers and parents dealing with troubled students. Huntley helps teens focus their minds on more positive thoughts by hosting seminars, talent shows, step shows and offering 1:1 mentoring.
