Forte International Music Competition is an annual event open to piano, strings, woodwinds, brass, and vocalists of all nationalities, ages 4 - 35. The competition consists of several rounds, with Final Round at Carnegie Hall. As part of this event, participants receive valuable feedback from multiple judges who are members of the distinguished faculty at prestigious universities in US, as well as internationally acclaimed musicians. Talented musicians and their teachers are also rewarded with certificates, prizes and cash awards, including a Platinum Award and cash prize in the amount of $1,000. Forte International President's Cup is open to instrumentalists and vocalists of all nationalities, ages 4 and above. While this competition is similar to the Forte International Music Competition it places no limit on age and offers more flexible guidelines so that anyone can participate and have a chance to perform at one of the prominent stages in NYC, receive valuable feedback from competent judges, as well as be able to win various prizes and awards, including a President's Cup trophy and a free entry into the Final Round of the Forte International Music Competition at Carnegie Hall. Regardless of the competition selected Forte International offers a quick and easy registration process accessible to anyone in the world. Also, the unique structure allows participants to take part in the Preliminary and Semi-Final qualifying rounds of the competition online. Plus, Forte International is among a few competitions in the world that is happy to share informative feedback and scores from judges at the conclusion of every round of the competition in order to help aspiring musicians succeed.
Live Preliminary and Semi-Final rounds for both competitions will take place on December 3-4, 2016 at Ripley-Grier Studios. The Final Round of the Forte International President's Cup will take place on January 21, 2017 at beautiful Victor Borge Hall. The Forte International Music Competition will culminate at the Final Round at prestigious Carnegie Hall on February 4, 2017. The Final Rounds of both competitions are open to the public.
