Forthright Awarded New Jersey No-Fault Arbitration Contract
New Contract Term Starts April 1st and Forthright Will Introduce Reduced Fee Schedule and Enhanced Functionality for Users
SOMERSET, N.J. and MINNEAPOLIS, Jan. 27, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Forthright, a global provider of process design, automation, and management solutions, announced it has received a three-year contract from the State of New Jersey to administer No-Fault Insurance Personal Injury Protection (PIP) arbitrations under the State's Automobile Insurance Cost Reduction Act. Forthright submitted a joint proposal with the incumbent New Jersey PIP contractor, the National Arbitration Forum (NAF), and was notified it had won the contract on January 19, 2011.
In selecting Forthright following a rigorous technical review process, the Evaluation Committee from the State of New Jersey concluded:
"NAF/Forthright's bid proposal was the most advantageous to the State, price and other factors considered….. NAF/Forthright's well written proposal demonstrated a very good understanding of the intent of this procurement and RFP requirements. The proposal presented very good planning in meeting the criteria set forth in the RFP and a thorough explanation of the program."
The Committee noted that it was "impressed" with Forthright's approach to achieving the State's cost containment goals through on-the-papers hearings for smaller claims and reduced fees for electronic filings. The New Jersey PIP arbitration program is entirely self-funded through user fees and places no burden on New Jersey taxpayers.
Forthright's Vice President of New Jersey No-Fault, Joseph Di Donato stated, "Forthright is committed to build upon the NAF's track record of providing excellent administrative services and over $35 million in cost savings to users over the previous contract term. We look forward to working with the user community and the State, and to implementing additional fee reductions and significant new program features."
Other bidders for the contract included national and regional arbitration administration organizations.
Forthright will begin administering no-fault PIP claims in New Jersey under the new contract on April 1, 2011. The New Jersey No-Fault arbitration website will remain at www.nj-no-fault.com under the new contract. Contact information for arbitration administration personnel will also remain the same.
