The 2015 Retrace the Maritime Silk Road ocean voyage, a title event sponsored by Fortune Fountain (Beijing) Holding Group and led by renowned Chinese navigator Zhai Mo, kicked off this year in support of the "One Belt, One Road" vision, once again fostering the dream and raising the expectations for the new version of the road. Zhai, known as the top unpowered sailing vessel navigator in China, has led a team to retrace the ancient Maritime Silk Road on the aptly named "Zhai Mo" and "Fortune Fountain" unpowered sailboats.

The route of the voyage passes through eight countries: Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Somalia, Egypt, Greece, Malta and Italy. Zhai and his sailing team have already made the stops at the first three ports of call, opening the door for China to enormous business opportunities in several areas, including traditional and emerging sectors as well as free trade zones and luxury products while further bringing China closer to the rest of the world by strengthening its cooperation with many countries around the world across a wide range of sectors.
