FORTUNE Ranks ADP No. 1 in Category for Most Admired Companies
ADP First in Five of Nine Key Attributes
ROSELAND, N.J., March 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- ADP ®, a leading provider of human resource, payroll, benefits administration, and automotive dealer services, is the most admired financial data services company, according to FORTUNE magazine's annual survey of the World's Most Admired Companies.
The annual FORTUNE Most Admired Companies list is the definitive report card on corporate reputations. It is based on results of a global survey of executives, directors and analysts who rate companies in their own industry on nine criteria: people management, quality of management, innovation, long-term investment, use of corporate assets, financial soundness, social responsibility, quality of products and services, and global competitiveness.
ADP posted the highest average industry ranking in its category. It was rated first in financial soundness, quality of management, long-term investment, quality of products and services, and use of corporate assets.
"Once again, we are honored to be ranked as the top financial data services company by our peers," said Gary Butler, President and CEO of ADP. "Such recognition is testimony to the efforts of our associates, who work each day to deliver world-class service, innovative solutions and powerful insights for our clients."
This is the sixth consecutive year that ADP has been recognized in FORTUNE's Most Admired Companies survey and the second year in a row that the company has attained the top spot in its industry.
FORTUNE magazine partners with Hay Group to conduct the annual survey of executives, directors, and analysts who are asked to rate 1,400 companies on nine key attributes of reputation. Only the top five companies in each industry category are ranked as the "most admired" companies. The World's Most Admired Companies survey results are featured in the March 21, 2011 issue of FORTUNE and available online at http://money.cnn.com/magazines/fortune/mostadmired/2011/snapshots/2227.html.
