Forty-One Leading Physicians in Castle Connolly's New America's Top Doctors(R) for Cancer 6th Edition are Named as Grant Recipients at Breast Cancer Research Foundation Awards Luncheon

Founded by Evelyn Lauder who serves as its chair, the event combines cutting-edge presentations by leading physicians and researchers with a gala awards luncheon. Ms. Lauder introduced President Bill Clinton, who spoke with both personal passion and clinical expertise about current and future efforts to eradicate breast cancer by 2020. The Jill Rose Award for Distinguished Scientific Achievement went to Angela Hartley Brodie, Ph.D., Professor of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and the Maryland Greenbaum Cancer Center. Her award was presented by Larry Norton, M.D., Deputy Physician in Chief, Memorial Hospital, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and the Medical Director of MSKCC's Breast & Imaging Center. Dr. Norton was also one of three recipients of the Castle Connolly National Physician of the Year awards for Clinical Excellence in 2010. The Sandra Taub Humanitarian Award was given to Judy Craymer, creator and producer of the global phenomenon, Mamma Mia.
