Hands on Guide to Becoming a Successful Entrepreneur

HANOVER, Massachusetts, Oct. 5, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Tracey Noonan and Dani Vilagie, the mother-daughter team that founded the popular family-owned Wicked Good Cupcakes, have launched their first book titled A Wicked Good Idea – How to Succeed in Business in Spite of Ourselves.
In 2010, Tracy and Dani took a cake-decorating class as a way to spend time together. A year later, they opened their first cupcake store. Today, these entrepreneurs, with the help of Tracey's husband Scott, have built a multi-million dollar empire, collaborated with iconic brands such as Cinnabon and appeared on ABC's hit series "Shark Tank" where they penned a deal with business mogul Mr. Wonderful, Kevin O'Leary.
"I can honestly say that every set back, every disappointment and failure in my life taught me a valuable lesson that would eventually lead to this success," says Noonan. "I'm so grateful I can pass on what I've learned to other entrepreneurs-in-the-making who have a dream but no idea how to bring it to reality," she adds.
Polls show that nearly 50% of Americans and 70% of recent college graduates hope to become an entrepreneur one day. There are a million ways to start a business and a billion mistakes to make while nothing you learn in school comes close to real-life experience. Whether you want to own your own company, need a jump-start for your current business or simply love a good story, A Wicked Good Idea is part personal journey, part hands-on guidebook that is funny, poignant and eye-opening.
Tracey and Dani share their own highs and lows in building Wicked Good Cupcakes from an idea at their kitchen table to an empire in just a few short years. You will learn what to expect when starting a business, what you have to be willing to give up (#1: sleep!), how to quickly move beyond the inevitable mistakes and get back on track, and get a rare behind-the-scenes look at the "Shark Tank" experience.
A Wicked Good Idea will launch October 5th, 2016 and can be purchased on their website, www.wickedgoodcupcakes.com. Paperback $14.95.
