Four Houston Women Business Leaders Named Inspiring Texas Women
HOUSTON, Nov. 4, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Four of Houston's women business leaders have been named recipients of the Inspiring Texas Women award from the Women's Business Initiative of Sterling Bank.
The Inspiring Texas Women honorees are:
- Veronica Baxter-Lamb, Transportation Program Coordinator for the Houston-Galveston Area Council;
- Sue Burnett, President and Founder of Burnett Staffing Specialists;
- Beth Garza, owner of Garza Interiors; and
- Brenda Love, President of Love Advertising.
These winners were chosen from 44 nominees. Baxter-Lamb received the award for inspiring excellence and passion and her significant contributions for the area's vibrant economic growth. Burnett's award recognizes her professional success and commitment to mentoring women seeking enriching careers. Love received the award for her tenacity, business savvy, and leadership in the community. Garza received the award for her devotion to customer satisfaction, ethical business practices, and perseverance in overcoming adversity.
The Inspiring Texas Women award celebrates the 10th anniversary of Sterling's Women's Business Initiative, which provides resources specifically designed for women-owned business owners and female executives to create added value to their relationships with Sterling Bank. The four Houston awardees are among the 10 women who will be recognized with the award over the next two months in the metropolitan areas of Houston, Dallas and San Antonio.
