Four Missouri Doctors Elected to Missouri Professionals Mutual Board
Frederick B. Lintecum, M.D., Walter R. Peters, Jr., M.D., Raymond August Ritter, III, M.D., and David L. Weinstein, M.D. will help MPM continue to re-empower Missouri physicians
ST. LOUIS, Nov. 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Members of the medical professional liability insurance company Missouri Professionals Mutual (MPM) voted to add four new members to the company's Board of Directors on Nov. 17, increasing the number of directors on the board from three to seven.
New board members include Frederick B. Lintecum, M.D., Walter R. Peters, Jr., M.D., Raymond August Ritter, III, M.D., and David L. Weinstein, M.D.
Lintecum is an obstetrician/gynecologist who serves as chairman of Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Luke's Hospital and Medical Center in Kansas City, Mo., and a partner at Lintecum and Nickell P.C. He is also a clinical assistant professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Missouri – Kansas City.
Peters is a colon and rectal surgeon and the chief of staff at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Mo. He and his late partner, Vincent Gurucharri, M.D., brought laparoscopic general surgery to mid-Missouri in 1990, performing the area's first laparoscopic cholecystectomy (gall bladder surgery).
Ritter is an orthopedic surgeon who serves as chief of Orthopedic Surgery at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo., and also practices at Advanced Orthopedic Specialists. He was instrumental in bringing minimally invasive total hip and total knee procedures to Cape Girardeau.
Weinstein is an obstetrician/gynecologist who serves as chief of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis, Mo. He is a founding partner of Consultants in Women's Healthcare, Inc. and an associate professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Washington University School of Medicine. Weinstein has authored and co-authored multiple medical articles and has been a principal investigator in many clinical trials.
MPM's existing board members are Timothy H. Trout, managing director of MPM, John M. Lorei, M.D., chair of the emergency services department and staff member at Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City and Saint Luke's Northland Hospital, Kansas City, and Richard T. Meyer, CPA.
