FPR Specialty Pharmacy Hires Slomski To Lead Sales And Marketing; Moves To Next Phase In Cleveland Clinic Trials

VICTOR, N.Y., Jan. 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- FPR Specialty Pharmacy, developer of Focused Pain Relief—custom transdermal creams for pain and inflammation—today announced the appointment of Douglas B. Slomski to the position of Vice President of Sales and Marketing.  Effective immediately, Slomski will be responsible for expanding the company's presence in existing markets, as well as opening new markets and launching products. The company also announced today that the Cleveland Clinic study for the treatment of knee pain using Diclofenac Cream 8% or 1% has moved to the next phase, with participant enrollment to begin in the first quarter of 2014.

Slomski brings to FPR Specialty Pharmacy a 25-year background in marketing life-science products and extensive expertise in medical sales management. He most recently served on the management team at ECA Medical Instruments, where he helped with the global unveiling of a line of surgical kitting products and oversaw a five-year branding and implementation program.  Known for his solutions-based approach, Slomski is a global expert at growing revenue and market share through end-to-end product management and targeted sales strategies. He is also credited with over 12 patents in medical devices, packaging and sterilization processing equipment.
