Frank Thomas, Paul Molitor & Ozzie Guillen Support Youth Sports at Woodside Sports Complex
MAUSTON, Wis., Dec. 1, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Woodside Sports Complex, located in Mauston, WI, celebrated its groundbreaking on Friday, November 12th with some of baseball's finest showing their support for youth athletics. Attending the event were Frank Thomas, formerly of the Chicago White Sox, Ozzie Guillen, current White Sox Manager, and Paul Molitor, former Milwaukee Brewer and 2004 Hall of Famer. Wisconsin Representative Edward Brooks and Juneau County Economic Development Corporate Executive Director, Terry Whipple, were also present along with over 100 guests including local media and other members of the community.

Woodside Sports Complex is designed to fulfill an overwhelming demand for state-of-the-art multi-sport tournament facilities for athletes of all ages. The Sports Complex will be located on a portion of the 1,300-acre Woodside Ranch Resort, Wisconsin's famous guest ranch, which has been in operation since the 1920s and is located 15 miles from the Wisconsin Dells Resort area.
Woodside Sports Complex will provide outdoor and indoor sports facilities along with entertainment amenities which will compliment the team sport experience for both the athlete and the spectator. The overall scope of the project includes 10 baseball/softball tournament fields, four additional softball fields, eight full size soccer fields, two onsite athletes' villages and a 70,000 square foot indoor facility which will house offices, dining areas, and training facilities.
With the Sports Complex located on Woodside Ranch property, parents and families will have the opportunity to either stay at the ranch in order to be close to their children participating in tournaments or they may choose from hotels in the nearby Wisconsin Dells area.
