Fred C. Goad, Jr. Joins Specialists On Call's Board of Directors

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif., March 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Specialists On Call, Inc. (SOC), the nation's largest privately funded telemedicine provider, announced today that Fred C. Goad, Jr. has joined its Board of Directors.

Mr. Goad is the Co-Founder of the private investment company, Voyent Partners, L.L.C.  Prior to starting his investment group, he built and ran several successful companies that provided information and technology services for the healthcare industry.  Over the course of his career, Mr. Goad has worked at WebMD, Quintiles Transnational Corporation and Envoy in senior leadership positions overseeing their electronic transaction services divisions.  Since Voyent Partners invests in private companies, Mr. Goad currently sits on the board of several private companies.  He has also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Luminex Corporation, a public company, since 1997.
