Free Diabetes Health Program Saturday, Oct. 30 at Jefferson State Community College
BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Oct. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- The Institute for Health Protection (IHP), in partnership with Roche Diabetes Care, the makers of ACCU-CHEK® products and services, and Jefferson State Community College, will host a free community diabetes program at JSCC's Shelby-Hoover campus this Saturday, Oct. 30 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. To register for the event, please call (917) 210-2466 or e-mail [email protected].
The program will focus on education, prevention and management of Type 2 diabetes. Highlights of the day's event include free diabetes and health screenings, healthcare specialist consultations and a complimentary lunch for all program participants. A panel of prominent local healthcare providers and community leaders, including Alabama State Rep. Mary Sue McClurkin, will be presenting valuable and relevant educational information as well as leading an interactive Q&A session for participants.
