Fromm Family Foods Donates Semi Truck of Food to Michigan Dogs in Need
MEQUON, Wis., March 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Each year, thousands of dogs are rescued from Michigan's city streets thanks to the hard work and selflessness of animal rescues and other pet-related non-profits.
With much admiration for their dedication to the cause, Fromm Family Foods, a family-owned-and-operated artisan pet food manufacturer based in Wisconsin, set out to deliver a semi truck full of food to non-profits based in Detroit and Flint, Michigan on Thursday, March 3rd.
The first stop on this philanthropic Midwest Road trip was to the Groesbeck Animal Hospital where several area non-profits including the Macomb County Animal Control accepted four pallets of canned food totaling more than 8,000 cans. Other non-profits receiving food include I Heart Dogs Animal Haven, Heavenly Paws and Semper Fidelis- all Detroit area rescues.

"We hope this food donation will do some good for Michigan families and their pets as well as the amazing non-profits that work tirelessly to save as many animals as possible."
Following the Detroit Pit Stop, the Fromm truck will then deliver 15 pallets of food, totaling more than 30,000 cans of dog food to the Humane Society of Genesee County to support their efforts in the community of Flint. Additionally, Fromm Family Foods will present a check for $500 to help the shelter continue purchasing and distributing clean bottled water for Flint residents and their pets.
