Frost & Sullivan Partners With IRDA, i2M and MDeC to Organise the Iskandar Malaysia Case Challenge 2013
KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, Oct 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Global growth consulting firm Frost & Sullivan recently, with its strategic partners Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA), i2M Ventures Sdn Bhd (i2M) and Malaysia Development Corporation (MDeC) organised the inaugural Frost & Sullivan Iskandar Malaysia Case Challenge 2013.
Mr. Kavan Mukhtyar, Partner at Frost & Sullivan said that the purpose of the inaugural challenge is to encourage final year undergraduates and post-graduate students to develop and present ideas, strategies and action plans on how Iskandar Malaysia can be developed into a sustainable economic region by 2020.
"The case challenge is also a platform to engage with the younger generation to help develop the talent pool in the Iskandar region," Mr. Mukhtyar said.
The case challenge was opened to all Malaysian individuals in their final year of undergraduate or post-graduate studies, and also individuals who have completed their tertiary education but less than 25 years old.
Mr. Mukhtyar said that the top 10 to 15 participants of the case challenge will also get employment offers from Frost & Sullivan Iskandar, while the top three participants will receive attractive cash prizes.
"Frost & Sullivan is excited to nurture talents in Malaysia, and we believe that this initiative will help harness the undergraduates and post-graduates' abilities to think critically," he said, adding that Frost & Sullivan believed fully in the potential that Iskandar Malaysia offers to the business community.
Frost & Sullivan analysts and consultants will also provide mentoring sessions for the top 25 participants.

Zulfiqar Zainuddin, Managing Director, i2M stated that he hopes that the case challenge will help the youth to understand more about Iskandar Malaysia. "We hope to see more companies like Frost and Sullivan establishing their Centres of Excellence ("CoE") in Iskandar Malaysia. It is a win-win situation. The ideas from the case challenge will contribute towards making Iskandar Malaysia better, which in turn will create more quality job opportunities here," he commented.
Datuk Ismail Ibrahim, Chief Executive of Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA) lauded Frost & Sullivan for organising the competition and help promote Iskandar Malaysia to the youth, who are Malaysia's future leaders.
