FS Investments Hosts American Heart Association's Navy Yard Goes Red Event in Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA, March 23, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- More than 150 guests attended the American Heart Association's Navy Yard Goes Red event last night, hosted by FS Investments at the company's Philadelphia Navy Yard headquarters for the second year in a row.
The event raised funds for the Heart Association's national Go Red For Women initiative, an effort that advocates for more research and swifter action for women's heart health through coordinated educational programming, fundraising and events annually. While more commonly associated with men, heart disease is the number one killer of women, causing one in three deaths each year (approximately one woman every minute).

This year's Navy Yard Goes Red event featured a panel discussion of female executives from Philadelphia's Navy Yard business community, moderated by NBC10's Rosemary Connors. Panelists included: Dawn Zier, CEO of Nutrisystem & Go Red For Women Chair, Lisa Detwiler, Chief Compliance Officer of FS Investments, Wendy McDevitt, Chief Talent Ambassador of Urban Outfitters, Inc., and Donna Allie, Founder & CEO of Team Clean.
Participants shared key moments in their journeys to success, and helped raise awareness about the importance of women's heart health.
