Fuel Taxi Media Gets Rolling In San Francisco
Leading Out-Of-Home Ad Company To Offer Taxi Advertising in the Bay Area
NEW YORK, Sept. 29, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Fuel Outdoor – one of the nation's top Out-Of-Home Advertising companies – has made the move into Taxi Top Advertising by partnering with Luxor Cabs, the second-largest cab operator in San Francisco. Fuel Taxi Media will offer Taxi Top Advertising on a fleet of 250 cabs, providing coverage of the entire Bay Area from SFO International Airport to Oakland International, as well as penetrating all of San Francisco's most desirable neighborhoods.
Not only will Fuel offer the standard, backlit Taxi Tops, but the company will also sell Wrapped Taxis and "Stagings" – public events based around branded taxis that could include sampling, hand outs, street teams, etc.
"San Francisco is the perfect market for Fuel to kick off its expansion into the taxi media business," says Mike Freedman, CEO of Fuel. "Not only is the Bay Area home to tech firms, global financial companies and the insurance industry, but San Francisco is also one of the top travel destinations in the United States, ensuring that these ads will have a reach well beyond the local market." In addition to its current media offerings of Metro Lights Panels and Wallscapes, Fuel will begin offering Taxi Tops, Wraps and Stagings in the San Francisco market starting October 1st.
Fuel Outdoor, founded in early 2003, has grown into a national concern through a steady progression of organic growth, acquisitions and strategic partnerships. Fuel is active in 8 of the top 15 DMA's and manages thousands of Out-Of-Home Advertising faces nationwide. With an impressive portfolio of past clients including top advertisers such as Apple, American Express and Visa, Fuel has built an executive team of experienced advertising professionals and continues to expand its footprint throughout North America.
