Fujitsu to Showcase Newest Microcontrollers, FRAMs, Graphics Display Controllers and Power Management ICs at Embedded Systems Conference
- Fujitsu Semiconductor America will join Symmetry Electronics at ESC Boston, Booth 814 -
SUNNYVALE, Calif., Sept. 26, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Fujitsu Semiconductor America, Inc. will highlight the company's newest microcontrollers (MCUs), ferroelectric random access memory (FRAM) devices, high-performance graphics display controllers (GDCs), and power management ICs (PMICs) at the annual Embedded Systems Conference in Boston Sept. 26-29 at the Symmetry Electronics booth, number 814.
Fujitsu will demonstrate its FM3 family of 32-bit, general-purpose microcontrollers featuring the industry's leading-edge ARM® Cortex-M3™ CPU. The devices, which integrate Fujitsu's reliable and secure high-speed embedded Flash technology, include a host of robust peripheral features, including motor control timers, ADCs and a wide range of communication interfaces. Fujitsu today announced 64 additions to the FM3 family [http://www.fujitsu.com/us/news/pr/fma_20110926-2.html]. The new MB9Bx10 High-Performance Series MCUs, which feature the industry's first two-channel Ethernet MAC support, are designed for processor-intensive system controllers and communications-oriented systems. The MB9A130 Ultra-Low-Leak Series MCUs are optimized for battery-powered applications and low-cost products.
Fujitsu also will demonstrate its 8-bit F2MC-8FX low-pin-count MCUs. These devices meet the growing demand for microcontrollers in compact, low-cost applications such as home appliances, electrical tools, energy management, digital electronics, healthcare products and accessories.
In addition, a full range of other leading-edge Fujitsu ICs will be on display, including:
- Ferroelectric Random Access Memory (FRAM) devices – FRAM is a high-performance, low-power, and non-volatile memory that combines the benefits of conventional nonvolatile memories (Flash and E2PROM) and high-speed RAM (SRAM and DRAM). In July, Fujitsu announced the latest addition to the FRAM family, the new MB85RSxxx SPI series. [http://www.fujitsu.com/us/news/pr/fma_20110713.html]. These new products are designed to meet the rapidly increasing demand for FRAMs in industrial systems, factory automation, metering, and low-power applications.
- Graphics Display Controllers (GDCs) – Fujitsu's industry-leading lineup of 2D and 3D Graphics Display Controllers combine the functionality of display controllers and graphics processing units for automotive, industrial, avionics, marine, medical, and other applications. The Fujitsu GDCs, which offer product lifecycles of more than 10 years, are available as system-on-a-chip (SoC) solutions. For more information about the 3D capabilities of the Fujitsu GDCs, download the new tech paper "Unlocking the 3D Capabilities of Fujitsu Graphics Display Controllers" at http://www.fujitsu.com/us/services/edevices/microelectronics/gdc/gdcdoc/gdc_3d.html.
- Power Management IC (PMIC) devices – The MB39C326 6MHz Synchronous Buck Boost DC/DC Converter is designed to power the radio frequency power amplifiers (RFPAs) in mobile handsets or other mobile devices that use a single-cell Li-ion battery. The converter provides buck-boost functionality, prolongs battery life and efficiency, and requires half the board space of conventional 2MHz devices. The Fujitsu MB39A134 Battery Charging IC is a DC/DC converter IC charging solution for 1-4 cell notebook Li-ion batteries with wide input voltage range (8V to 25V) and low current consumption under standby mode.
