Fury® 1500 UAS Achieves Full Data Rate SATCOM Video Link -- Unique in the Tactical UAS Class

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif., Sept. 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- AME Unmanned Air Systems (AME UAS) announced today that the Fury 1500 UAS has become the first truly tactical UAS to downlink live video over Satellite Communications (SATCOM).  A Fury® aircraft transmitted full-motion video to a ground terminal over a high bandwidth commercial SATCOM link.

Fury 1500 was developed at AME's UAS facility in San Luis Obispo, California. The Fury® is operated and controlled by AME's UAS Mission Management software, SharkFin®.

BLOS capability solidifies the Fury's position as the longest-range tactical runway-independent UAS flying today.  With BLOS, the Fury is able to support missions at distances previously impossible using tactically deployed unmanned systems.
