Fushi Copperweld Names Benjamin McNamara Vice President of Business Development

BEIJING, Feb. 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Fushi Copperweld Inc., (the "Company") (Nasdaq: FSIN), the leading global manufacturer and innovator of copper-clad bimetallic wire used in a variety of telecommunication, utility, transportation and other electrical applications, today announced the appointment of Benjamin McNamara to the newly created position of Vice President of Business Development. In this role, Mr. McNamara will provide leadership in indentifying, negotiating, and developing strategic alliances and new business opportunities throughout the world to enable Fushi Copperweld's continued growth and further strengthen its position as the industry leader in copper-clad bimetallic wire.

Mr. McNamara brings to the position over 30 years of sales, marketing and operational experience in the bimetallic manufacturing industry in the United States, Europe, and Asia. Most recently, Mr. McNamara was Global Sales and Marketing Director for the BiMetals division of CommScope, a provider of connectivity solutions for communications networks. Mr. McNamara was responsible for the division's sales plans, strategic development and brand recognition. Prior to that, Mr. McNamara was Managing Director for Copperweld Bimetallics, UK Ltd, the European manufacturing subsidiary of Copperweld Bimetallics, LLC, where he was responsible for sales and operations as well as strategic growth.  Prior to this position, he served as European Sales Manager for the organization, where he drove new market expansion, collaborated on new product development and market awareness, and was responsible for European and Asian bimetallic product sales. Mr. McNamara began his bimetallics career as European Sales Manager for National Standard, a manufacturer of bead wire and bimetallic steel products. Mr. McNamara holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Liverpool, a Masters in Marketing from the University of Wales and an HND in Business, Law, and Finance from Nash Technical College.
