WALL, N.J., March 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The U.S. Army has selected Future Skies, Inc. as the prime contractor for the Product Director Common Software Task Order under the Battle Command Family of Products IDIQ contract. Future Skies and their subcontractor team will provide services across the full software lifecycle to enable the Common Software mission as the Army-wide product manager for the integration of the ABCS Foundation, with emphasis on the design and development of infrastructure software to support the execution of Battlefield Functional Area/Battlefield Area Support (BFA/BAS) applications in accordance with PEO C3T objectives. The Product Director Common Software Task Order period of performance consists of two base years and two option years, with a total value of $33,718,736. Future Skies will support Common Software at our Wall Township, NJ headquarters, at our satellite office in Joppa, MD and on-site with the Government at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.

The Future Skies Team will provide maintenance and evolution of Common Software products, including the Common Messaging Processor (CMP), Ground Tactical Communication System (GTCS), Command and Control Registry (C2R), C2R Planner, Data Dissemination Service (DDS) Client Interface (DCI), Multinational Interoperability Programme (MIP), Battle Command Staff Trainer,(BCST), Common Client Installer (CCI), Data Mediation Service (DMS) and Joint Consultation, Command and Control Information Exchange Data Model (JC3IEDM) Validator. The Future Skies Team will support Common Software's role in the wider Project Manager Battle Command collapse mission to consolidate systems toward a common architecture, significantly enhancing the commander's ability to conduct collaborative mission planning and execution across the full range of military operations.
