
Futures for Kids 2013 Community Partner Award Winners
RALEIGH, N.C., May 16, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Futures for Kids honored the 2013 Community Partner Award recipients at its Anniversary Celebration, May 15th at the North Carolina Executive Mansion. A proclamation by Governor Pat McCrory making it "Futures for Kids Day" was read by Lt. Governor Dan Forest, who also presented the recipients with their awards.
The reception was an opportunity to celebrate a shared understanding of the value of our youth in developing tomorrow's workforce and the power held in the hands of those who volunteer to educate our students through mentoring. The recipients were nominated and selected for their commitment to improving futures through community engagement, mentorship and hands-on exploration.
