G2 Crowd announces Fall 2014 rankings of the best Cloud Data Integration platforms

CHICAGO, Oct. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The inaugural Grid(SM) report for Cloud Data Integration tools, announced today by business software review site G2 Crowd, ranks seven products to help software buyers in their selections. The report is based on more than 125 reviews written by real users.

The Grid(SM), G2 Crowd's software recommendation engine, factors in customer satisfaction reported by users and vendor market presence determined from social and public data to rank products.

To qualify as a Leader, a product must receive a high customer satisfaction score and have substantial market presence. Microsoft Azure BizTalk Services and Dell Boomi were named Leaders. In addition, Jitterbit, SnapLogic and Actian DataConnect were named High Performers, while Jitterbit had the highest customer satisfaction rating.

Data integration software allows businesses to unify data from disparate sources in various formats. Data integration products provide standard connectors to other cloud or on-premise software, and also include functionality to cleanse, monitor and transform data. Cloud data integration software is offered in a SaaS ("software as a service") model and does not require the client to install software or hardware.

As part of the software review process, professionals scored specific features of the products they use. Overall, G2 Crowd users were highly satisfied with the cloud data integration platforms they reviewed. Across all products, reviewers reported the product they use meets their requirements at an average rate of 81%, and on average reviewers said they were 78% likely to recommend the product they use.
