G2 Crowd announces summer 2014 rankings of the best e-signature software

CHICAGO, Aug. 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The updated Grid℠ report for e-Signature Software, announced today by business software review site G2 Crowd, ranks six products to help software buyers in their selections, based on more than 660 customer reviews.

The Grid℠, G2 Crowd's software recommendation engine, factors in customer satisfaction reported by users and vendor market presence determined from social and public data to rank products.

E-Signature refers to software platforms designed to gather signatures without printing a document and physically signing. E-Signature software allows companies to reduce the cycle time to gather signatures as well as reduce costs of gathering and storing signatures on paper.

To qualify as a Leader, a product must receive a high customer satisfaction score and have substantial market presence. DocuSign, Silanis e-SignLive and Adobe EchoSign were named Leaders, and High Performers were RightSignature and Sertifi; they earned high customer satisfaction scores with a smaller market presence.

RightSignature showed significant improvement in its satisfaction scores, while Sertifi went from Niche to High Performer since the Winter report, which was released in January 2014.

As part of the software review process, HR professionals scored specific features of the products they use. Overall, G2 Crowd users were highly satisfied with the e-signature products they reviewed. They found e-signature products to be intuitive and easy to use. Businesses switching from a paper signature process to an e-signature solution were most satisfied with the time saved in the signature process, the online documentation, and the paper-free environment it created.

Document signing was the highest-rated e-signature software feature (95% satisfaction rate), and the lowest-rated feature was the reporting (89% satisfaction rate). Across all e-signature products, reviewers reported the product they use meets their requirements at an average rate of 92%, and on average reviewers said they were 91% likely to recommend the product they use.

Based on a combination of these scores, each software solution is categorized as a Leader, High Performer, Contender, or Niche.
