G4S Acquires Nuclear Security Services Corporation (NSSC)

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla., Jan. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- G4S, the world's leading international security solutions group, has acquired 100% of Nuclear Security Services Corporation (NSSC) from its founder Inge Collins, for $22m in cash on an enterprise value basis. NSSC is a risk consulting and security solutions firm that specializes in evaluation and assessment, design engineering, installation and testing of security systems internationally for critical corporate and national infrastructure.

NSSC's core markets are within the nuclear power generation and government sectors, with recent expansion into the chemical and petrochemical arena. NSSC has Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS) assessment and engineering expertise.

NSSC provides clients with integrated solutions that include technology, products, engineering and design. NSSC's detection technology includes Perifeld-M, an intrusion detection perimeter alarm system. Other smart solutions include the Video Capture System(TM), an instantaneous video alarm assessment technology, and NSMART, a complete Access Control and Alarm Monitoring System. Other products include the Advanced Video Sentry System (AVSS), a unique integration of thermal and CCD cameras, and an Advanced Detection, Assessment, And Neutralization System (ADANS) that includes a Remotely Operated Weapon System (ROWS) with the ability to detect, assess and neutralize a threat from a safe environment.

NSSC had revenues of $21m in 2008 and has over 70 full-time employees. NSSC customers in the U.S. include nuclear power and oil and gas companies, many departments of the U.S. Government and a number of Fortune 500 companies.
