GameAbove Empowers Eastern Michigan University To Lead In Cybersecurity

Over 700 students have graduated from EMU's cybersecurity program with nearly 100% job placement.

YPSILANTI, Mich., March 6, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Cybercrime is not going away. In fact, it is on the rise, posing a growing threat to individuals, businesses, and national security. Recognizing this urgent need, GameAbove made a $1.6 million gift in 2023 to support Eastern Michigan University's (EMU) cybersecurity program. This contribution is helping equip students with the skills and ability needed to combat cyber threats and protect critical systems worldwide.

EMU students with cybersecurity degrees start their careers at companies such as Google, Amazon, CrowdStrike, General Electric, Cisco, SensCy, Snapchat, Bosch, Textron, Judy Security and more. For consecutive years, EMU's online cybersecurity master's program ranks among the top affordable programs for 2025 by Cybersecurity Guide's.

EMU's GameAbove College of Engineering and Technology is one of the few institutions globally that offers comprehensive cybersecurity education, from undergraduate and graduate programs and a Ph.D. concentration.

According to industry experts, as cyber threats evolve at an unprecedented pace, organizations face growing challenges safeguarding sensitive data and critical infrastructure.
