MCLEAN, Va., Aug. 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Gannett Co., Inc. (NYSE: GCI) today named Rob Mennie president and general manager of WTLV/WJXX in Jacksonville, FL and senior vice president of Gannett Broadcasting.

Mennie has been part of the Gannett Broadcast leadership team since 1997. Most recently, Mennie has been senior vice president of news for Gannett Broadcasting. Prior to that, he was vice president of news at WUSA-TV in Washington, DC. He joined WUSA as news director in 1995. Mennie came to Washington from WDTN-TV in Dayton, OH, where he also served as news director. Prior to WDTN-TV, he was assistant news director at Gannett-owned KPNX-TV in Phoenix from 1993 to 1994. Mennie first joined Gannett 25 years ago as executive news producer for WXIA-TV in Atlanta, GA.
Mennie began his television career at WCMH-TV in Columbus, OH as a photographer and later served as executive producer. Mennie also worked as special projects producer for WSYX-TV in Columbus.
Mennie and his wife, Terry, have four children.
