AYDEN N.C., April 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The GANSPA AWARDS invites you to participate in a celebration of the Arts, focusing on Neo Soul & Poetry sponsored by The Golden Link Music Company.

The GANSPA AWARDS TOUR is slated to visit 7 States in the Southeast. The mission of the tour is to spotlight talent and identify qualified nominees for the annual award ceremony that takes place September 18, 2016 in Atlanta, GA. The platform supports artists year round through its education and mentoring programs. The mission is three fold to highlight "Excellence in the Arts", to spread the message that everyone has a genius seed through the Genius is Common Movement, and to bring awareness of Sickle Cell Anemia. The tour kicks off May 21, 2016 in North Carolina at the Golden Link Music Company, 520 3rd St. Ayden NC 28513. The evening will begin at 6:00 pm with a mixer, featuring live filming for the Genius is Common platform founded by Bruce George, the Co-founder of Russell Simmons' Def Poetry Jam, on HBO. Hosted by GANSPA AWARDS North Carolina state team captain, Michelle M9dBodiSol Forbes, the evening continues with live spoken word performances by Monica Daye, of Raleigh, Cleavette Roberts of Kinston, Sharon Dixon, and Jamela Lrato of Goldsboro, and El Ja Bowens of Fayetteville, to name a few. Soulful songstress Tish Songbird Martin, and band will perform live! Couture items will be available for purchase, and original art will be showcased by Maximilian Mozingo! The after-party will feature live music from The Golden Link Music Machine. A nominee search will take place to identify qualified candidates for the Awards Ceremony that is taking place September 18, 2016 in Atlanta, GA.
