Gardner Denver Medical acquires TriContinent Scientific

MUNICH, Germany, May 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Gardner Denver's Medical Group ("Gardner Denver"), a leader in flow control solutions primarily for medical and laboratory sectors, today announced the closing of its acquisition of TriContinent Scientific, Inc. ("TriContinent Scientific").

Headquartered in Grass Valley, California, U.S., TriContinent Scientific is a leading manufacturer of OEM precision syringe pumps and a supplier to the world's leading medical and biotechnology diagnostic and analytics equipment manufacturers. In addition to offering customized products tailored to customer needs, TriContinent Scientific offers five product lines: precision pumps, valves and syringes, XYZ robotics, microplate washers and manifolds, as well as pipettes and dispensers.

Gardner Denver plans to integrate TriContinent Scientific's business and products under the name TriContinent. Adding TriContinent Scientific's core competencies in syringe pumps and liquid handling robots for the lab automation market will enable Gardner Denver to offer complete solutions from a single source to its OEM and laboratory customers, giving the company a significant competitive edge.
