Gatlinburg Brings Snow to Atlanta
The City of Gatlinburg hosts a family friendly event at the Mall of Georgia, presents a trip to a deserving military family
GATLINBURG, Tenn., Oct. 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The City of Gatlinburg will bring snow to the Mall of Georgia on Oct. 29 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. The free event will feature a giant snow slide, information about ski packages at Ober Gatlinburg ski resort, Gatlinburg Ole Smoky Candy Kitchen taffy, giveaways and more.
Gatlinburg will also provide one deserving military family from Operation Homefront with a trip to Gatlinburg.
"We're excited to recreate Gatlinburg snow tubing in Atlanta and also help a military family relax with a visit to our city," said David Perella, Executive Director of the Gatlinburg Department of Tourism. "Ober Gatlinburg is the only ski resort in Tennessee and just a short drive from Atlanta."
The event will feature a snow slide allowing actual snow-tubing by attendees. Visitors can also enter to win giveaways from Ober Gatlinburg, Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies, Park Vista, the Greystone Lodge, Elk Springs Resort, Edgewater Hotel, Sweet Fanny Adams Theatre and the Gatlinburg Attractions Association.
