
GE Energy on Board Rural Smart Grid Summit
GE Energy Joins IBM, IBEC, Landis+Gyr, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, ABB, AT&T in Exclusive Summit with Heads of Top Eighty U.S. Electric Utility Cooperatives
ROCHESTER, N.Y., Oct. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- The Rural Smart Grid Summit (RSGS) announced today that GE Energy, Digital Energy will be a title sponsor of this year's event, beginning October 26 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The Rural Smart Grid Summit will be held at the El Conquistador Resort in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, October 26th – October 29th, 2010.
The top eighty plus U.S. electric coops are representative of the 865 electric cooperatives throughout the United States. These 865 electric cooperatives in the United States serve 37 million consumers and 16 million businesses, cover approximately 2.4 million line miles, which is 44 percent of the nation's electric grid , according to the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA).
