Gen. Colin Powell, Sergio Marchionne, Gary Sinise, & Robert Corrao To Be Honored At Sons Of Italy Foundation Gala

WASHINGTON, May 15, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Sons of Italy Foundation (SIF) will honor former Secretary of State General Colin L. Powell, USA (Ret.) and Chrysler/Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne at its Silver Anniversary Gala in Washington, D.C., May 23. Also being honored are actor and activist Gary Sinise and Ski TV's Robert F. Corrao.
The Master of Ceremonies is actor Joe Mantegna. Performing that evening are the singers Michael Amante and Nova Y. Payton. Among the special guests, including members of Congress and the Administration, are:

- Gen. Peter Pace, USMC (Ret.), 16th Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff

The foundation is the philanthropic arm of the Order Sons of Italy in America (OSIA). Founded in 1905, OSIA is the biggest and oldest national organization for men and women of Italian heritage in the United States.
Since 1959, the SIF has given more than $125 million to education, medical research, cultural preservation, disaster relief and other special projects. This evening's event is expected to raise $1.5 million.
