GenAudio Hosting Demonstrations of AstoundSound® at NAB Show in Las Vegas
-3D Audio Applications for Television Programming and Motion Pictures Now Being Demonstrated at the GenAudio Suite at Las Vegas Hilton Hotel -
LAS VEGAS, April 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- GenAudio Inc., developer of AstoundSound® 3D sound localization cue software, is demonstrating its 3D audio technology at the NAB Show 2011. Networks offering HD and 3D programming, creators of content including television shows, motion pictures and video games, as well as consumer electronics manufacturers can experience how GenAudio's AstoundSound processing dramatically enhances audio quality for the highest level of immersive viewing. Demonstrations are available by appointment April 11, 12 and 13 at the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel.
AstoundSound takes multi-channel or two-channel sound output and delivers sophisticated audio enhancements, as if the viewer/listener is surrounded by 7,000+ individual speakers, all accomplished with a minimum of any two speakers or headphones. AstoundSound adds depth, height and width to any media content for 2D or 3D presentations with any two speakers or headphones. The processed audio remains in-phase, center channel imaging is not affected, and the resultant audio has no tone colorization, a common issue with other spatial audio technology. No additional hardware is required for playback, providing zero barrier of entry for consumer consumption.
GenAudio's AstoundSound CE software development kit is based on more than 23 years of spatial audio perception R&D into how the human brain localizes a sound source in space. This SDK enables consumer electronics device manufacturers to incorporate the technology via embedded level integration into any device that has stereo audio output capability with minimal processor utilization. For portable devices, the AstoundSound CE processing has a negligible impact on battery life. AstoundSound is ideally suited for integration into HDTVs, headphones, Blu-ray players, car A/V systems, video game consoles, computers, etc.
GenAudio's studio partner, Astound Studios, is featured on the front cover of the April, 2011 edition of "Mix" magazine. Representatives from Astound Studios are also available during NAB for consultations regarding incorporation of the AstoundSound technology into television programming, corporate presentations, commercials, and motion pictures. Astound Studios is a full service recording, mixing, and audio post-production studio offering the most up to date and innovative technology combined with the most sought after vintage gear and provides a complete spectrum of services including: mixing, pre-dub, mastering, sound design, recording, ADR, sound restoration, music production, and ISDN. Earlier this year, GenAudio announced its first full-length feature film title release processed in AstoundSurround®, "Discover The Gift" by director Demian Lichtenstein. "Discover The Gift", the first documentary to include 3D spatial audio enhancements, debuted during the Sundance Film Festival in January in Park City, Utah.
