Generator Hire Specialists - Apex Generators Focus on Expansion

Generator Hire specialists Apex Generators are expanding rapidly, investing heavily in equipment, people and partnerships resulting in further successes for this generator hire company.

Apex Generators have committed more than a £1m of capital expenditure to increase its hire fleet this year. This is the third year in succession that the company has spent more than a £1m on new generators and ancillaries. 70 new generators and 20 security generator enclosures will boost the fleet to 530 units. With generators from 10kW to 1000kW (1MW) Apex have generators suitable for any application. Multiple units can be joined together to provide multi megawatt packages.   

Further growing their capacity Glasgow based Apex are partnering with Aberdeen based offshore and onshore oil & gas specialists, HazHire Ltd.


The agreement will also mean that Apex equipment located at HazHire's premises in Aberdeen will be deployed directly to their existing customer base and sector focus in the North East thereby reducing response times and cutting the cost of transporting equipment from their base in Glasgow. HazHire will also provide service support for Apex in the North east.

Apex Generators are also investing in the next generation of engineers by offering an apprenticeship program and taking on a new apprentice engineer each year.  The apprentices follow a structured training plan and attend college on a day release basis to study for the HNC in Electrical Engineering. The apprentices spend time, throughout their four years of training, working with engineers in each of the disciplines and learn about the mechanical and electrical aspects of our generators.  Engineer Colin Scott said "It's great to be able to pass on my experience and knowledge to young guys who have a real thirst for knowledge and genuine interest in what we do"
