Geneva Ventures Announces Advisory Board Members

SAN FRANCISCO, June 7, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Geneva Venture Group, a boutique alternative asset investment firm focused on venture capital investments for Family Offices, today announced formation of its independent Advisory Board for its Geneva Investment Partners Fund, a growth equity venture fund-of-funds.

The board members include investment and technology leaders with expertise in areas such as investment banking, venture capital, private equity, internet, Cloud computing, Big Data, digital media and mobile payments technologies, each of whom are recognized leaders in their respective fields. They will provide Geneva with insights on investment issues that could positively impact its growth ambitions as well as provide enhanced governance and transparency for its funds.

The advisory board will specifically focus on venture investment industry trends, internet innovations, fund imperatives, regulatory considerations, privacy concerns and governance. The initial eight member board represents leading organizations in various areas of venture capital investments, and includes:

Robert Bozeman, Dr. Francis Chen, Allen Miner, Peter Morrissey, Jerry Newman, Ken Rudin, Jean-Pascal Traine and Alex Vieux.

Consistent with its prior funds, Geneva Venture Partners will build on the firm's diversified investment strategy, premier venture fund access and its commitment to investing in top tier performing venture capital partnerships. Geneva's one-fund of funds approach to venture investing will allocate approximately three-quarters of capital to funds targeting technology investments in digital media, consumer internet, enterprise, big data, mobile, payments and internet security sectors specifically within the U.S.  One-quarter of the fund is designated to secondary interests directly into late stage pre IPO operating companies.
