Genscape Hires Matthew Burkley as CEO
Founder, former CEO O'Leary to remain on company board
STAMFORD, Conn., Sept. 20, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Matthew Burkley has been named chief executive officer at Genscape, Inc., a DMG Information company and leading global provider of energy fundamentals information for commodity and financial markets. Mr. Burkley most recently was chief financial officer of the sales and trading division at Thomson Reuters. He replaces Genscape co-founder and CEO, Sean O'Leary, who is stepping down after leading the company since 2003. Mr. O'Leary will remain active with Genscape as a member of the company's board.

In addition to his latest role at Thomson Reuters, Mr. Burkley also served in leadership positions at several Thomson business units since 2006, including global head of strategy and president of customer enterprise solutions for Thomson Financial. Prior to joining Thomson, Mr. Burkley was a co-founder and managing director at ZEFER, a technology and strategy consulting firm.
Mr. Burkley holds a bachelor's degree in political economy from Colorado College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
