Geocent Welcomes Patrick Scheuermann to its Federal Engineering Sector

METAIRIE, La., Nov. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Geocent welcomes Patrick Scheuermann, as its new Executive Vice-President for Aerospace and Defense, located in Geocent's Huntsville, AL office, and Chief Development Officer for the Corporation. On November 13, Mr. Scheuermann retired from NASA, after three years as Center Director of NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center. He states that, "Working for NASA is a career many can only dream about." Mr. Scheuermann has served in various NASA executive leadership positions helping the U.S. Government to diversify, partner, and transform the way it accomplished the mission at each location he served. At Geocent, he will continue to look for partnerships with tenants of the Redstone Arsenal, Stennis Space Center, and the Michoud Assembly Facility.

At Geocent, Mr. Scheuermann will provide oversight, leadership, and strategic focus to the execution and growth of Geocent's Aerospace and Engineering activities across the country and around the world. Mr. Scheuermann is a native of New Orleans and graduate of the University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering. He joined NASA in 1988 and served in various capacities. Throughout his career, Mr. Scheuermann received numerous honors, including NASA's Outstanding Leadership Medal and NASA's Exceptional Service Medal.
