Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Nouveau 2015 Est Arrive!

NEW YORK, Nov. 19, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Today wine enthusiasts across the country rejoice as the first bottles of 2015 Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Nouveau arrive in the United States.  This famed French winemaker continues the time-honored tradition with the release of a highly anticipated new vintage of unprecedented quality.

Since this French wine first came to the U.S. in 1982, Beaujolais Nouveau Day has been an annual celebration to honor the end of harvest and offer the first taste of the new vintage.  Released at 12:01 a.m. on the third Thursday in November per French law, Beaujolais Nouveau is a bright, flavorful red wine made from the Gamay grape.  

The spotlight this year is on the quality of the 2015 vintage.  Having tasted and analyzed thousands of samples, Georges Duboeuf and his winemaking team believe this year's Beaujolais Nouveau will be one of the best they've ever produced.

The 2015 vintage is predicted to be one of the all-time greats.  The color is a deep red with tones of purple and garnet, and the nose offers a magnificent array of black current, blackberry and blueberry.  The wine is round, full-bodied with a long finish.  

To celebrate this year's release, chapters of the French-American Chamber of Commerce will host Beaujolais Nouveau parties in cities across the United States including New York, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., New Orleans, Dallas, San Francisco, and Seattle.
