Georgia Companies Invited to Attend Trade Winds-Asia, a Business Development Conference and Trade Mission
This multi-sector trade show is an opportunity for Georgia companies to grow their international trade to Southeast Asia

Georgia's International Trade Division is leading a mission to Singapore for a regional multi-sector business development conference – Trade Winds-Asia 2012. Participation in the show will give companies an opportunity to build relationships with key global and regional industry leaders and participate in pre-screened business-to-business appointments with potential customers from Singapore, Vietnam and Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia (companies can select up to three countries for business appointments). As an official U.S. Department of Commerce conference, participants will have opportunities to seek guidance from U.S. senior commercial officers, representatives from U.S. embassies and consulates from more than ten countries in Asia. |

Through this mission, GDEcD is helping Georgia companies enter/expand in some of the fastest-growing economies around the world – Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia. For example, Singapore's economy expanded by 14.5 percent in 2010 and is the tenth largest export market for the U.S. And, Vietnam has been expanding at an average of 7.2 percent in the past decade and exports to Vietnam from the U.S. have grown by 20 percent to $3.7 billion in 2010. |
