Powder Pouch, the ingenious product that makes it a breeze to brush off beach sand, was created by a fifth-generation beach family in Long Beach, NY, who are committed to helping their community rebuild and get back to the business of enjoying the beach. As part of Get Sandy Relief, Give Sandy Relief, every Powder Pouch order in 2013 will trigger a donation to support families who are still struggling to overcome the devastation of Superstorm Sandy.

The City of Long Beach rests on a barrier island off the south shore of Long Island and was among those towns hard hit by Superstorm Sandy. For more than a decade The Long Beach Christmas Angel (LBCA) has been giving the gift of opportunity to families in the Long Beach, NY school district who are experiencing financial hardship. This year, the LBCA has refocused efforts based on the needs of the community following the destruction caused by Superstorm Sandy. The LBCA is offering assistance to Long Beach residents by providing the purchasing power needed to secure contracting services including: plumbing and electrical repairs, appliances and furniture replacement, mortgage assistance, and more.
